Psychotherapy
Individual Therapy
A myriad of research studies have shown that the right combination of medication and therapy brings the best treatment outcomes including symptom remission, life satisfaction, stress reduction, and a sense of personal agency. While medication helps to control your psychiatric symptoms, therapy focuses on you as a whole person and helps you to develop resilience, connect with your potential and make important changes. Our clinicians practice progressive, state of the art forms of therapy that are intensive, patient-centered and have distinct transformative effects.
Family Therapy
Here at the Bipolar Center we recognize and honor the potential for health, love and support inherent in family bonds. With the help of family therapy we repair and activate this potential, directing the family’s emotional resources to healing and harmony. When the family’s dynamics are set right, illness relapses are weathered or prevented with increased ease.
Couples Therapy
Couples’ therapy is best suited to address the distress that couples are experiencing because of mental health struggles or separate issues such as frequent conflicts, stressful life events, infidelity, or parenting issues. Partners frequently find themselves in recurring negative cycles that lead to escalating arguments or emotional distance. Working in the here and now with our therapists, partners learn and practice relating to each other in new ways which extend to their relationship outside of the therapy.
