It could potentially further complicate and even disrupt an effective recognition and management of treatable conditions. It is also not uncommon to start experiencing mood instability for the first time later in life. Proper recognition and treatment of late life mania and depression require a special expertise. It is also important to distinguish a primary Bipolar Disorder in older age and late onset Mania and Depression secondary to medical, psychological and age related issues.
Our center offers a comprehensive expert evaluation of more senior clients in order to correctly diagnose and chose the right treatment. We also provide an assistance in dealing with a broader coexisting issues such as planning and dealing with retirement, separation and resolution of family conflicts. The center also offers evaluations for clients that may be requiring a referral to Transcranial Electromagnetic Stimulation (TMS) or Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
