The Transition into Independence Program (TIP) at The Zirinsky Family Center for Bipolar Disorder is a program aimed at helping adults of any age gain and maintain independence. Commonly referred to as “failure to launch,” TIP focuses on your strengths, abilities, and potential, as opposed to failure. We provide a comprehensive, collaborative, and safe space for you and your family to focus on your ability to successfully launch and become the independent adult you aspire to be.
The structure of TIP is tailored to meet your individual needs through your adulting process. Our treatment is made up of Groups, Hands-on-Coaching, Individualized Support, and Medication Management. Our approach to treatment is on an open timeline to promote your personal process — not time-limited. Groups meet once weekly for 60-minutes, with one group designed for Independent Adults and the other for Caregivers. Scheduled as needed, our TIP team offers Life-Skills Training to provide you with well rounded care between sessions. Members are also offered Individualized Support & Psychotherapy, and Medication Management.
