CUBSS

Cannabis Use and Bipolar Spectrum Services (CUBSS)

The Family Center for Bipolar is accepting patients for a new and innovative service, the Cannabis Use and Bipolar Spectrum Services (CUBSS).

If you have bipolar disorder and smoke marijuana, The Cannabis Use and Bipolar Spectrum Service (CUBSS) may be the program for you.

CUBSS is not a rehabilitation program; it is a bipolar treatment program for people who use marijuana. Our goal is to manage symptoms and provide high quality treatment. Marijuana can affect minds and moods in vastly different ways. The Bipolar Specialists™ at the Family Center for Bipolar created CUBSS to help people with bipolar disorder better understand how their symptoms and smoking habits are related. With this understanding, we create tailored treatment plans to help our patients improve their mental health and quality of life. Keeping in line with the credo of our center, CUBSS operates on a Family-Inclusive Treatment (FIT) model involving patient-selected support persons such as a family member, close friend, or significant other.

Note: We do not accept individuals with alcohol dependence or whose primary problem is misuse of drugs.

CUBSS accepts private-payment, commercial insurance, and Medicare.
